Fair warning: my books are grown. My folks cuss when they're mad, drink when they're stressed, cuss while they're drinking, and fawk when the tension finally breaks. The word "nigga" shows up because that's how niggas talk to each other. If that's not your speed, no hard feelings. Be best.
Every story is set in the DMV, because I'm PG County 'til the wheels fall off — and if you know, you know Langston Park could be a real exit off the Beltway.

I'm B.C. Lovejoy

I write the kind of love stories I needed to read — sexy, messy, healing, funny, and unapologetically Black.
My characters are real, relatable, and follow the same path... They fall in love while doing the hard work of becoming whole — flawed, funny, generational-trauma-having people who still choose each other anyway. If you've ever needed a love story that feels like it sees you, welcome.
When I'm not writing or reading, I'm a mama of two brilliant, autistic tiny people who keep me humble, hilarious, and sleep-deprived, a serial entrepreneur who's never met an idea she didn't want to build, and a singer/songwriter who knows a love song and a love scene aren't all that different.
